Basic information

At first, a window containing "titles", "search", "index", and "most requested titles" buttons appears (see pic. 1). The left frame displays the variable while the right frame includes a description on every single item (metadata) and the selected variables. In order to see metadata related to every variable, click on the variable in the left frame so that the relevant metadata could appear in the right frame while its title can be listed in the frame of selected titles. For non-digital variables, metadata contain only descriptions without displaying time interval, source of statistics, and the starting year for data compilation, and their titles could not be listed in the frame of selected titles.

Variables in tree structure (Titles)

Upon clicking on "Titles" button, all variables appear in tree structure in a way that variables and their sub branches can be observed in an appropriate order (see pic. 2). Click on "+" to see all relevant sub branches and on "-" to close them. Upon clicking on digital variables, their titles appear in the frame of selected titles (see the lower right frame, pic. 2). For non-digital variables, this image does not appear to the left, and their titles could not be listed in the frame of selected titles. In order to see metadata related to every variable, click on the variable in the left frame so that the relevant metadata could appear in the right frame (see the upper right frame, pic. 2). For digital variables, time interval, source of statistics, and the starting year for data compilation are also displayed (similar to metadata window, pic. 2).

Search

By clicking on "search", a small box appears on the left frame in which the user may type the necessary phrase and then push the "search" button (see pic. 3). All variables containing the typed phrase appear in alphabetical order on the left frame. For user’s more information on the exact place of variables, across from every single one of them, variables relevant to upper branches are displayed in order. In case of digital variables, this image appears to the left, as well as "metadata" and "select" buttons to the right. Upon clicking on these buttons, the variable's title appears in the frame of selected titles (see the lower right frame, pic. 3), and its metadata in the related window (see the upper right frame, pic. 3). For non-digital variables, metadata on each variable are shown on the right frame when you click on the variable; however, their titles could not be listed in the frame of selected titles. In case the search results in more than 10 findings, they appear in next pages. The next page button below the left frame shows other pages. The advanced search button appears to the right of the search button; you may refer to the relevant section to obtain more information.

Advanced Search

By clicking on "search", a small box appears on the left frame in which the user may type the necessary phrase and then push the "search" button (see pic. 4). Upon clicking on the "advanced search" button, shown at the right of the search button, the advanced search forms appear (see pic. 4) allowing users to search more precisely. The "time interval" and "starting year of" let the user search titles during a specific time interval and/or within specific years. The box on the right of the "search options" includes the "exact wording or phrase", the "any of these words", and "all these words" options. By selecting the "exact wording or phrase", the same result as the simple search finding appears. Selection of the "any of these words" option results in listing all titles that contain at least one of the words typed in the search box. See pic. 4 where user typed "monetary bank", selected the "any of these words" option, and found all titles containing "monetary" and/or "bank". By selecting "all these words" option, titles containing all typed words are only listed. Therefore, titles including both "monetary" and "bank" are shown regardless of their order. Upon clicking the search button, all results appear in alphabetical order on the left frame. 4), and its metadata in the related window (see the upper right frame, pic. 4). For non-digital variables, metadata on each variable are shown on the right frame when you click on the variable; however, their titles could not be listed in the frame of selected titles. In case the search results in more than 10 findings, they appear in next pages. The next page button below the left frame shows other pages.

Variables in list (Index)

By selecting "index", all variables appear in alphabetical order on the left frame (see pic. 5). Since all variables do not appear on one page, the "previous" and "next" buttons are shown after the 10 variables listed. Upon clicking on these buttons, previous and next pages are shown. For user’s more information on the exact place of variables, across from every single one of them, variables relevant to upper branches are displayed in order. In case of digital variables, this image appears to the left, as well as "metadata" and "select" buttons to the right. Upon clicking on these buttons, the variable's title appears in the frame of selected titles (see window below, the right frame, pic. 5), and its metadata in the related window (see the upper right frame, pic. 5). For non-digital variables, metadata on each variable are shown on the right frame when you click on the variable; however, their titles could not be listed in the frame of selected titles.

Most requested titles

By clicking on "most requested titles", the most requested titles with the times of requests are listed in the left frame (see pic. 6). Since all these titles do not appear on one page, the "previous" and "next" buttons are shown after the 10 variables listed. Upon clicking on these buttons, previous and next pages of most requested titles are shown. 6), and its metadata in the related window (see the upper right frame, pic. 6). For non-digital variables, metadata on each variable are shown on the right frame when you click on the variable; however, their titles could not be listed in the frame of selected titles.

Reporting system

Upon selecting variables, click on "display report" button in the frame of selected titles (see pic. 7). By clicking "display report", a new page is opened (see pic. 8), where you can define time interval, and select the starting and ending years. As shown in pic. 9, "price and cash dividend index", "cash dividend index", and "total share price index" are shown with an annual time interval from 1373 (1994/95) to 1387 (2008/09). The title bar including titles and units is displayed in dark violet while subtitle bar in light violet (see indices and exchange, pic. 9). There are options for zooming up and down, visiting previous and next pages, and search. Moreover, depending on whether you choose "HTML" or "Excel", the output pages open.
